GETTING AROUND AGADIR

Getting around Agadir is relatively straightforward, with taxis being the most common and convenient option. Taxis are easy to find, and you can hail them on the street or arrange one via your accommodation. They are an affordable way to move between the city’s main attractions, like the Marina, Souk El Had, and Kasbah Ruins.

If you're flying into Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA), taxis and airport transfers are available to take you to the city center, which is about a 30-minute drive. Taxis from the airport are often fixed-rate, ensuring a straightforward ride into town.

If you'd prefer more freedom to explore, renting a car is a good option and allows you to visit nearby areas such as Taghazout or Paradise Valley. Car rentals are available both at the airport and within the city. Public buses are also an option, but they can be less frequent and harder to navigate compared to other transport options.

1-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Discovering Agadir's Beauty

  • Morning: Start your day with a visit to Agadir Beach. Enjoy a walk along the promenade, taking in the ocean breeze and stunning views. Afterward, head over to the Agadir Marina, where you can watch the boats, enjoy a coffee, and soak up the atmosphere. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also arrange a boat trip or try some water sports at the marina.

  • Lunch: Head to Pure Passion restaurant, located by the marina, for a delightful lunch with views of the water. Known for its fresh seafood, Mediterranean dishes, and modern ambiance, this restaurant offers a great spot to enjoy specialties like grilled fish, seafood platters, and delicious Moroccan flavors.

  • Afternoon: Visit Souk El Had, one of Morocco’s largest markets. Here, you can shop for a variety of local products, including traditional crafts, spices, and textiles. It's a great way to experience the local culture while picking up unique souvenirs.

  • Evening: End your day with a trip to the Kasbah Ruins (Agadir Oufella). Take the cable car to the top, offering incredible panoramic views of Agadir and its surroundings. The ride itself is scenic, and once you reach the top, you can explore the ruins and enjoy stunning views of the city, beach, and mountains. While much of the Kasbah was destroyed in the 1960 earthquake, it still holds historical significance and offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset.
